Introducing East Lansing Chiropractor Dr. Don Pethtel

The Chiropractor To See In East Lansing

I was told by several doctors that I would always walk with a limp and be in severe pain. As it so happens, when I was younger I fell and broke my femur and severely dislocated my hip. After the bone healed a problem with my hip remained. I can remember being a child and getting adjusted all the time. My father who was a chiropractor would come home from working all day and call for me to "come and get an adjustment".

My father was a chiropractor for over 37 years and both of my sisters are chiropractors, as well.

When I graduated high school I joined the Marine Corps. infantry and was stationed all around the world doing undergrad classes whenever and where ever I could. After my discharge from the Marines I went straight to Marietta, Georgia to begin chiropractic college.

I believe that everybody in the world should be under the care of a chiropractor. The world would be a better place for it. I have experienced the benefits of chiropractic first hand and have seen chiropractic care benefit others while working with infants to patients 100+ years. Too many people suffer needlessly and are to quick to take pills to mask symptoms.

East Lansing, Michigan is a health conscious town and people are very active and they desire chiropractic care to achieve optimal peak performance. My goal is to provide safe and affordable chiropractic care to East Lansing area residents.

Dr. Pethtel Asks some important questions of interest to East Lansing residents - Chiropractor East Lansing Dr. Pethtel Asks...

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
What happens if you stop chiropractic care when you feel better?
Many East Lansing folks recognize that this predisposes you to a relapse. Chiropractors know that muscles and ligaments supporting the spine don't fully heal until after symptoms subside.
